What’s On at The Northampton Balloon Festival? 18th, 19th and 20th August 2023.
Get ready for three action-packed days filled with incredible entertainment and an awe-inspiring display of over 50 hot air balloons, including some fascinating special shapes. Please note that hot air balloon activities are weather dependent for safety reasons, so keep an eye on the weather updates during the festival.

Don’t miss out on the spectacular performances by the RPM Bike Display Team, the adrenaline-pumping stunts by Stannage, and the thrilling demonstrations by the American Civil War Society. Marvel at the hot air balloons as they tether during the day before an evening flight before enjoying the magical glow of these beautiful balloons illuminating the night sky.

With an eclectic mix of entertainment, there’s something for everyone. Enjoy classic shows like Punch and Judy, experience the excitement of ferret racing, and try your hand at various circus skills in our Circus Workshop.

Meet the brave men and women of the British Army and get up close and personal with magnificent birds of prey and learn about their unique characteristics.

As you explore the festival grounds, you’ll find charity and trade stalls offering a variety of products and services. Discover the artistic talents of local crafters in the Craft Marquee and engage with the Northampton Town Council to learn about their initiatives.

And of course, savour the delicious festival food and refreshments available from a range of food vendors and bars.

To add to the excitement, the festival boasts an impressive lineup of over 50 hot air balloons, featuring an array of special shapes. Keep an eye out for the likes of Action Man, Fire Extinguisher, Nescafé Cup, Agfa Can, Dragon, Thomas the Tank Engine, BBC Globe, Financial Times, Aston Martin, Barclays House, and many more!
